Everybody’s Different

by Josh A. Kapusinski, 6’35″, USA, 2015

An inspiring short documentary about Johileny Meran Almonte, a Brooklyn high school honor student. Johileny is a champion, a champion of overcoming physical, emotional, social, familial, and financial obstacles. And she’s only a senior in high school. Her story reminds all of us that the differences we are born with and the challenges that come our way do not dictate our destinies. Instead, they can be catalysts for remarkable achievements. This is a story of inspiration to motivate anyone to overcome adversity, and to assist kids struggling with disabilities, bullying, and family problems. It also aims to redefine the public perception of disability. To help Johileny achieve her college dream, go to: razoo.com/story/Ywln
